Technical Service Senior Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the company's quality program and make sure that all activities are in line with the program.
- Perform other duties within the field of competence as requested by the Department Manager or the in line Manager base on the organization structure setup.
- Write reports on activities as required.
- Maintain good relations with the lead centers, practice two-way communication.
- Provide local ALSTOM personnel with technical introduction and training, to make them familiar with ALSTOM equipment.
- Provide customer operation and maintenance personnel with training, to make them familiar with ALSTOM equipment and good engineering practices.
- Assist the customer in obtaining quality documentation for parts new supplied or reconditioned by ALSTOM.
- Assist the customer in preparing Acceptance Certificates for equipment supplied and/or installed by ALSTOM by ensuring that apt ALSTOM installation and commissioning procedures have been followed, the applicable ALSTOM test sheets have been filled in, and a report has been made in accordance to ALSTOM's standard for the new equipment supply and installation.
- Ensure handing-over/introduction of new deliveries/products/services supplied by ALSTOM is well done and accepted by customer.
- Coordinate specialist visits and follow through the operating and maintenance problems to optimize the customers' plant reliability.
- Ensure that technical service documentation (technical reports, inquiries, technical proposal/solutions, correspondence, etc.) administered properly.
- Collect, compile and update GT parts records (EOH, OH, Starts, etc.) to enable optimized parts movements (installed, removed, reconditioned, stored, etc.).
- Provide feedback on technical, product-related and commercial issues/problems to technical and sales support within the ALSTOM Power service organization (LSC and SEC), and propose solutions.
- Able to understand and describe operation and maintenance issues and problems, also ask questions for clarification, carry out investigations on technical, commercial and product-related problems, and propose solutions.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance, by own execution and/or direct advise in the field, or by ensuring event/problem descriptions are useful to specialist resources.
- Plant visits and communication with customers to provide them technical assistance in the operation and maintenance of the plant, representing the first line response from ALSTOM for problems existing/arising.
Requirements:
- Ability to write field service reports and customer reports, which are factual, comprehensive and well articulated
- Ability to operate a personal computer in spreadsheets, database and word processor
- Preferably Staff (non-management & non-supervisor)s specializing in Engineering - Others or equivalent.
- At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required language(s): English
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
